Social Impact Assessment

We assess social impacts with direct stakeholder input, covering labour practices, community effects and health and safety, and set out the management measures and monitoring that follow. Impacts judged from a desk without engaging affected people are frequently mistaken, and the engagement record is precisely what regulators, lenders and customers ask to see. We assess salient human rights risks across operations and the value chain, treating legal compliance as the floor rather than the finish. The output includes an accessible grievance route with tracked resolution, because a mechanism nobody can reach is no mechanism at all.

In short

Social impact assessment evaluates effects on workers, communities and other stakeholders, and the measures that address them. An assessment made without talking to the people affected is routinely wrong, so engagement sits at its core.

What we do

The work inside social impact assessment.

Stakeholder mapping and engagement

We identify the groups genuinely affected and gather their perspective directly rather than assuming it. Engaging affected people is both what makes the assessment accurate and what produces the record that external parties expect to review.

Impact analysis

We assess labour practices, community effects, safety and livelihood impacts against defined significance criteria. Rating each impact consistently is what lets management attention and resource go to the effects that matter most.

Human rights due diligence

We assess the salient human rights risks across your operations and value chain, not only within your direct workforce. Looking beyond the gate is where the material risks increasingly sit, and where customers now expect evidence of diligence.

Management and grievance mechanisms

We design management measures and an accessible grievance route with resolution that is tracked to a conclusion. A grievance mechanism that people can actually reach and trust is what turns a policy commitment into a working safeguard.

How an engagement runs

Discover, assess, design, deliver.

  1. 01

    Discover

Understand your sector, stakeholders, existing commitments, and the requests you are receiving. We establish who is asking you for ESG information and what you have already committed to publicly, so the work answers real pressure rather than a generic checklist.

  2. 02

    Assess

Review material topics, current data, governance, and the gap to the reporting you need to produce. We report plainly where your current numbers would not withstand scrutiny and what it would take to close the gap.

  3. 03

    Design

Define metrics, ownership, data flows, controls, and a reporting approach you can repeat. The design fixes how each number is produced and who owns it, so reporting becomes a repeatable process rather than an annual scramble.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Implement the measurement and governance changes, and review disclosures against the evidence. We test every public claim against its source before publication, so what you disclose is what you can defend.
