Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing

We test your applications, networks and cloud estate against an agreed scope and written rules of engagement, combining tool-assisted discovery with hands-on exploitation by experienced testers. Each finding is reported with reproducible evidence, a severity rating, the business impact it carries and clear remediation guidance. We prioritise the issues an attacker would realistically reach first, so your team fixes what matters rather than working through an undifferentiated list. Once remediation is complete we retest to confirm the fixes hold.

In short

VAPT combines automated vulnerability assessment with manual penetration testing to show what an attacker could actually achieve. The assessment finds the broad set of known weaknesses, and the testing establishes which of them are genuinely exploitable in your environment and what an intruder could reach as a result.

What we do

The work inside vulnerability assessment & penetration testing.

Scoping and rules of engagement

We agree targets, timing windows, authorisation and escalation contacts in writing before any testing begins. This protects production, sets the boundaries for destructive testing, and ensures everyone who needs to know is informed. The signed document becomes the reference point for the whole engagement.

Vulnerability assessment

We identify known weaknesses across the in-scope estate using established tooling supported by manual verification. We then remove the false positives and low-value noise that automated scanners generate, so the findings carried forward are real. The result is a verified baseline rather than a raw scanner export.

Manual exploitation

We attempt realistic attack paths by hand, chaining individually minor issues into a route that reaches something that matters. This is where scanners fall short, because they test findings in isolation rather than as an attacker would combine them. We stop at the agreed objective and record exactly how each path was achieved.

Reporting and retest

We report each finding with reproducible steps, evidence and a severity that reflects its real impact in your environment. The report separates what must be fixed now from what can be scheduled, and carries an executive summary for decision-makers. After remediation we retest the affected findings and confirm in writing whether they are resolved.

What you receive

Deliverables, in writing.

Documented output your teams keep and can act on without us in the room.

  • Signed scope and rules of engagement
  • Technical report: each finding with evidence, severity, impact and fix
  • Executive summary for decision-makers
  • Retest confirmation after remediation

When this work helps

You may be facing this.

  • A customer, insurer or auditor is asking for a recent test
  • A significant release or migration is about to go live
  • Testing has never been done, or was done years ago

How an engagement runs

Discover, assess, design, deliver.

  1. 01

    Discover

Understand what matters most, the obligations in play, and what the organisation is genuinely trying to protect. We agree scope and rules of engagement in writing here, so testing is bounded and authorised before it begins.

  2. 02

    Assess

Test and review the systems in scope, and establish real exposure rather than theoretical risk. We gather evidence for every finding, so severity reflects what we demonstrated rather than what is merely conceivable.

  3. 03

    Design

Prioritise remediation, control improvements, and architecture changes against risk and effort. We sequence the work so the exposures that matter most are closed first, within what the team can realistically do.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Support remediation, retest what was fixed, and help the practice hold as the environment changes. We confirm fixes actually closed the issue, rather than taking remediation on trust.

Where we work

Delhi, India — and wherever the work is.

Fidova delivers cybersecurity consulting and technical assurance from Delhi, India, and works with clients internationally; testing and review are performed remotely against your environments, with on-site work arranged when scope requires it.

Engagements run in English, are scheduled around your time zone, and can be delivered remotely end to end, with on-site time planned where a phase genuinely benefits from being in the room.
