Red Teaming

We run objective-based adversary simulation, pursuing a defined target through realistic means within agreed safety limits, and report what your detection and response actually did at each stage. Rather than cataloguing vulnerabilities, we move toward the objective quietly and record every point at which you could have caught us. The engagement ends with a joint walk-through so defenders see the full timeline against their own tooling. It is most valuable once basic security hygiene is already in place, and we will say so if it is not.

In short

Red teaming simulates a realistic adversary against your organisation to test detection and response, not just vulnerabilities. It measures whether your defenders notice and react to a quiet, objective-driven intrusion, which a conventional penetration test is not designed to reveal.

What we do

The work inside red teaming.

Objectives and rules of engagement

We define the target, the techniques permitted, the safety limits and the small group of people who will know the exercise is happening. Keeping that group small is what makes the test of detection honest. The agreed document protects your operations and gives the engagement a clear measure of success.

Reconnaissance and initial access

We gather information and seek a foothold through realistic routes within the agreed limits, including exposed services and, where explicitly authorised, social engineering. This mirrors how a real intrusion begins rather than starting from assumed access. We record each route attempted and whether it was noticed.

Persistence and objective pursuit

We establish a quiet presence and move toward the objective, recording every action that created an opportunity for your defenders to detect us. The discipline is to stay realistic and unhurried rather than noisy. This produces a precise map of where detection succeeded and where it was absent.

Purple team debrief

We walk your defenders through the full attack timeline alongside their own logs and alerts, step by step. Seeing exactly what did and did not fire turns the exercise into concrete detection improvements. The session is collaborative and focused on capability, never on blame.

What you receive

Deliverables, in writing.

Documented output your teams keep and can act on without us in the room.

  • Agreed objectives, rules of engagement and safety controls
  • Attack narrative with timeline and evidence
  • Detection and response assessment at each stage
  • Joint improvement plan with the defensive team

When this work helps

You may be facing this.

  • Penetration tests pass but confidence in detection is low
  • A security operations capability has never been tested end to end
  • Leadership wants evidence of response, not a vulnerability list

How an engagement runs

Discover, assess, design, deliver.

  1. 01

    Discover

Understand what matters most, the obligations in play, and what the organisation is genuinely trying to protect. We agree scope and rules of engagement in writing here, so testing is bounded and authorised before it begins.

  2. 02

    Assess

Test and review the systems in scope, and establish real exposure rather than theoretical risk. We gather evidence for every finding, so severity reflects what we demonstrated rather than what is merely conceivable.

  3. 03

    Design

Prioritise remediation, control improvements, and architecture changes against risk and effort. We sequence the work so the exposures that matter most are closed first, within what the team can realistically do.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Support remediation, retest what was fixed, and help the practice hold as the environment changes. We confirm fixes actually closed the issue, rather than taking remediation on trust.

Where we work

Delhi, India — and wherever the work is.

Fidova delivers cybersecurity consulting and technical assurance from Delhi, India, and works with clients internationally; testing and review are performed remotely against your environments, with on-site work arranged when scope requires it.

Engagements run in English, are scheduled around your time zone, and can be delivered remotely end to end, with on-site time planned where a phase genuinely benefits from being in the room.
