Secure Code Review

We review code alongside your engineers, reading the security-critical paths by hand and supporting that with static analysis tuned to cut noise. Rather than return a raw tool report, we explain each finding and the secure pattern that replaces it, so the same class of issue stops recurring. We focus effort on authentication, authorisation, payment, file handling and cryptography code, where mistakes carry the most consequence. The result is findings your developers understand and fix, plus tooling that keeps covering the rest of the codebase after we leave.

In short

Secure code review examines source code for security flaws in authentication, authorisation, input handling and secret management. It combines manual review of the security-critical paths with tuned tooling, so that both subtle logic flaws and widespread patterns are caught.

What we do

The work inside secure code review.

Security-critical path review

We read the authentication, authorisation, payment, file handling and cryptography code by hand, because these paths carry the greatest consequence when they fail. Manual review finds the logic and context flaws that scanners cannot see. We document each issue against the specific file and function so it can be fixed precisely.

Static analysis tuning

We configure static analysis to suppress the false positives that cause teams to ignore the output altogether. A tuned ruleset surfaces real findings instead of burying them in noise. We hand the configuration back so the pipeline keeps producing trustworthy results.

Secret and dependency hygiene

We check the code and its history for committed credentials and inventory the third-party dependencies for known vulnerabilities and unmaintained components. Hard-coded secrets and outdated libraries are among the most commonly exploited weaknesses. We report what to rotate, update or replace and in what order.

Developer guidance

We explain each finding with the secure pattern that should replace it, rather than simply flagging it. This turns the review into a learning exercise so the same class of issue does not return. The guidance is specific to your stack and the code we actually found.

What you receive

Deliverables, in writing.

Documented output your teams keep and can act on without us in the room.

  • Findings by file and function with severity and fix guidance
  • Tuned static analysis configuration for the pipeline
  • Secret and dependency exposure report
  • Secure coding guidance for the patterns found

When this work helps

You may be facing this.

  • A security-critical feature is being released
  • Static analysis output is ignored because of noise
  • The same class of vulnerability keeps reappearing

How an engagement runs

Discover, assess, design, deliver.

  1. 01

    Discover

Understand what matters most, the obligations in play, and what the organisation is genuinely trying to protect. We agree scope and rules of engagement in writing here, so testing is bounded and authorised before it begins.

  2. 02

    Assess

Test and review the systems in scope, and establish real exposure rather than theoretical risk. We gather evidence for every finding, so severity reflects what we demonstrated rather than what is merely conceivable.

  3. 03

    Design

Prioritise remediation, control improvements, and architecture changes against risk and effort. We sequence the work so the exposures that matter most are closed first, within what the team can realistically do.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Support remediation, retest what was fixed, and help the practice hold as the environment changes. We confirm fixes actually closed the issue, rather than taking remediation on trust.

Where we work

Delhi, India — and wherever the work is.

Fidova delivers cybersecurity consulting and technical assurance from Delhi, India, and works with clients internationally; testing and review are performed remotely against your environments, with on-site work arranged when scope requires it.

Engagements run in English, are scheduled around your time zone, and can be delivered remotely end to end, with on-site time planned where a phase genuinely benefits from being in the room.
