SAP Security & GRC

We design SAP authorisations and access governance so that segregation of duties actually holds in practice, covering role design, conflict analysis, emergency access and recertification. Roles are built on job function with least privilege, rather than being accumulated access that grows with every change and transfer. We analyse segregation of duties conflicts, remediate what can be separated and mitigate what cannot with documented compensating controls. Access requests, approvals, recertification and emergency access are put under a logged process, so privileged access is controlled and traceable rather than shared and invisible, which is what satisfies auditors and reduces real risk.

In short

SAP security and GRC covers authorisation design, segregation of duties, access governance and system security. Its purpose is that access reflects what people are actually authorised to do, and that the controls auditors rely on genuinely hold.

What we do

The work inside sap security & grc.

Role and authorisation design

We design roles around job function on a least-privilege basis, rather than letting access accumulate as people change roles over the years. Clean, function-based roles are easier to assign, review and defend, and they are the foundation on which segregation of duties can actually be enforced.

Segregation of duties analysis

We analyse conflicts across the access landscape, remediate those that can be separated and mitigate the rest with documented, testable compensating controls. Distinguishing what can be separated from what must be mitigated is what turns an audit finding into a controlled, defensible position.

Access governance

We implement access request, approval, recertification and emergency access under a logged process, so access is granted deliberately and reviewed periodically. Logged emergency access in particular converts a common audit weakness into a controlled, auditable exception rather than a shared and untracked risk.

System security hardening

We address system parameters, interface users, default accounts and patch currency, the technical layer beneath authorisations. Closing these gaps removes the well-known weaknesses that authorisation design alone does not cover, and that attackers and auditors both look for first.

What you receive

Deliverables, in writing.

Documented output your teams keep and can act on without us in the room.

  • Role and authorisation design documentation
  • Segregation of duties conflict analysis and remediation plan
  • Access request, recertification and emergency access process
  • System hardening findings and remediation

When this work helps

You may be facing this.

  • Users have accumulated access across roles over years
  • Auditors have raised segregation of duties findings
  • Privileged access is shared and unlogged

How an engagement runs

Discover, assess, design, deliver.

  1. 01

    Discover

Understand the business drivers, decision rights, existing systems, and what the programme is genuinely expected to change. We separate the outcomes that justify the investment from the features that merely sound desirable, so the programme has a clear purpose to steer by.

  2. 02

    Assess

Review process, data, integration, controls, governance, and change readiness against the plan. We report where the plan is sound and where it rests on assumptions that will not survive contact with delivery.

  3. 03

    Design

Set out the target processes, control requirements, data approach, integration model, and adoption plan. Each is documented well enough for a system integrator to build to and for you to hold them to it.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Support the programme through configuration, testing, cutover, and stabilisation with independent oversight. We keep the line on scope, data readiness, and controls while the integrator delivers, and flag drift while it is still correctable.
