We size the system against real data and usage and manage memory, partitioning and data ageing so growth does not quietly erode stability. Keeping resident data proportionate to the work being done avoids the memory pressure that is a frequent and avoidable cause of HANA instability.
We build calculation views that push processing down to the engine efficiently rather than materialising large volumes in intermediate steps. Well-structured models with proper pruning return results quickly and scale with the data, which is usually where the difference between fast and slow reporting actually lies.
