Third-Party System Integration

We integrate external platforms and partner systems with explicit data mapping, tested failure paths, and reconciliation wherever money, stock or compliance records are involved. We first establish what the external system can actually do, testing against its sandbox rather than trusting its documentation, which is often incomplete. Fields, identifiers and code lists are mapped both ways, and credentials are handled securely with sandbox and production kept apart. Where value moves between the systems, we reconcile both sides on a schedule and alert on divergence, so a quiet failure is caught rather than discovered in a complaint.

In short

Third-party system integration connects your systems to external platforms, vendors and partners with mapped data, handled failures and reconciliation. The difficulty is that you control one side of the exchange and only observe the other.

What we do

The work inside third-party system integration.

Interface discovery and mapping

We establish what the external system can actually do and map fields, identifiers and code lists both ways. Vendor documentation routinely overstates or omits behaviour, so we test against the real interface and record what it genuinely does. The mapping and that record stay with your team, so the knowledge does not leave when the project does.

Authentication and credential handling

We manage keys, tokens and rotation securely, including sandbox and production separation. Credentials are stored and rotated properly rather than pasted into configuration where they leak. Keeping sandbox and production apart stops a test from touching live data and a live key from being used in testing.

Failure and retry design

We decide what happens on timeout, duplicate and partial success, so bad data is not created silently. These in-between outcomes are where integrations quietly corrupt data, so they are designed deliberately rather than left to chance. The system knows the difference between a request that failed and one whose result is merely unknown, and acts accordingly.

Reconciliation and monitoring

We compare both sides on a schedule and alert on divergence rather than waiting for a complaint. Regular reconciliation catches drift early, while it is a small discrepancy rather than a serious one. Monitoring turns a silent integration failure into an alert your team sees, not a problem a customer reports.

What you receive

Deliverables, in writing.

Documented output your teams keep and can act on without us in the room.

  • Field-level mapping and identifier strategy
  • Credential handling and environment separation design
  • Error, retry and duplicate-handling specification
  • Reconciliation reports and monitoring alerts

When this work helps

You may be facing this.

  • A vendor integration fails quietly and is found days later
  • Data drifts out of agreement between two systems
  • Each partner onboarding takes months of engineering effort

How an engagement runs

Discover, assess, design, deliver.

  1. 01

    Discover

Understand the outcome, users, constraints, and the decisions that must be made before code direction is set. We spend this time with the people who own the result and the people who will build it, so scope reflects both.

  2. 02

    Assess

Examine the current architecture, delivery practice, integration surface, and engineering risk. We establish where the genuine difficulty lies, rather than accepting the risk the team already happens to worry about most.

  3. 03

    Design

Define the technical approach, delivery plan, quality gates, and ownership model in writing. Committing it to writing means the reasoning behind each decision survives staff change and supplier handover.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Work with your teams through build and release, adjusting the plan as evidence emerges rather than defending the original estimate. We keep the quality gates and progress evidence in place so leadership can watch the build land.

Where we work

Delhi, India — and wherever the work is.

Fidova provides software development consulting from Delhi, India, and works with product and engineering teams internationally — across India, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, the UK, and North America — remotely, with on-site time where the work needs it.

Engagements run in English, are scheduled around your time zone, and can be delivered remotely end to end, with on-site time planned where a phase genuinely benefits from being in the room.
