Cloud-Native Application Development

We build cloud-native applications that use managed services deliberately — scaling, resilience and cost behaviour designed in, not discovered on the first large invoice. Managed services are chosen for the operational burden they remove, weighed against the portability they cost, rather than adopted by default. We design for partial failure, so the application degrades gracefully instead of falling over when one dependency is slow. Environments are defined as version-controlled configuration, and we model how cost moves with load so scaling limits and budget alerts are set before production, not after a surprise bill.

In short

Cloud-native application development builds software designed for managed cloud services, elasticity, and cost and failure characteristics you can predict. Built well, the cloud's elasticity works for you; built carelessly, its billing model does the opposite.

What we do

The work inside cloud-native application development.

Service and platform selection

We choose managed services against operational burden, portability and cost rather than by default. A managed service that removes work can be worth a degree of lock-in, but only when that trade is made knowingly. We set out what each choice saves and what it commits you to, so the decision is deliberate.

Resilience patterns

We design for partial failure with health checks, timeouts, retries with backoff and graceful degradation. In a distributed system something is always degraded somewhere, so the application is built to expect it. The result keeps a slow or absent dependency from turning into a full outage.

Infrastructure as code

We define environments in version-controlled configuration so they can be rebuilt and reviewed. An environment described in code can be recreated identically and inspected like any other change. This ends the drift between hand-configured environments that makes problems appear only in one of them.

Cost and scaling behaviour

We model how cost moves with load, and set scaling limits and budget alerts before production. Understanding the shape of the bill before launch turns cloud spend from a monthly surprise into a planned figure. Limits and alerts give you a warning and a ceiling rather than a shock.

What you receive

Deliverables, in writing.

Documented output your teams keep and can act on without us in the room.

  • Cloud architecture with service choices and reasoning
  • Infrastructure-as-code definitions for each environment
  • Resilience and failure-handling design
  • Cost model with scaling limits and alerts

When this work helps

You may be facing this.

  • Cloud spend is growing without a clear explanation
  • The application cannot absorb traffic peaks
  • Environments are configured by hand and differ from each other

How an engagement runs

Discover, assess, design, deliver.

  1. 01

    Discover

Understand the outcome, users, constraints, and the decisions that must be made before code direction is set. We spend this time with the people who own the result and the people who will build it, so scope reflects both.

  2. 02

    Assess

Examine the current architecture, delivery practice, integration surface, and engineering risk. We establish where the genuine difficulty lies, rather than accepting the risk the team already happens to worry about most.

  3. 03

    Design

Define the technical approach, delivery plan, quality gates, and ownership model in writing. Committing it to writing means the reasoning behind each decision survives staff change and supplier handover.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Work with your teams through build and release, adjusting the plan as evidence emerges rather than defending the original estimate. We keep the quality gates and progress evidence in place so leadership can watch the build land.

Where we work

Delhi, India — and wherever the work is.

Fidova provides software development consulting from Delhi, India, and works with product and engineering teams internationally — across India, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, the UK, and North America — remotely, with on-site time where the work needs it.

Engagements run in English, are scheduled around your time zone, and can be delivered remotely end to end, with on-site time planned where a phase genuinely benefits from being in the room.
