Security Monitoring

We establish monitoring that produces action rather than noise, covering the right log sources, alerts tuned to your environment, and a defined route from signal to response. We concentrate on identity, endpoint, cloud control-plane and key application signals, because these reveal most attacks while collecting everything rarely improves detection. We tune alerts until they are trusted and record why each exists, then define who acts on what and when. Finally we test detection with controlled activity, because coverage routinely differs from what teams assume.

In short

Security monitoring is the continuous collection and review of the signals that reveal attacks in progress. Done well it collects the sources that genuinely matter, raises alerts people trust, and connects each alert to a defined response.

What we do

The work inside security monitoring.

Signal coverage

We determine which endpoint, identity, cloud and network signals genuinely reveal attacks in your particular estate. Cloud and identity activity is frequently unmonitored even where endpoint logging is mature. Targeting the signals that matter gives better detection than collecting everything at far lower cost.

Alert tuning

We reduce false positives until alerts are trusted and acted on, and we record why each alert exists. Noisy alerts are quickly ignored, which is worse than having none. Documenting the rationale keeps the alert set maintainable as the environment changes.

Response routing

We define who receives which alerts, in which hours, and with what authority to act on them. An alert that reaches nobody empowered to respond achieves nothing. Clear routing turns detection into timely action rather than an after-the-fact record.

Coverage measurement

We test detection with controlled activity mapped to the techniques you expect to catch, and report coverage honestly. This is the only reliable way to know what your monitoring actually sees. Results routinely differ from expectations, which is exactly why the test is worth running.

What you receive

Deliverables, in writing.

Documented output your teams keep and can act on without us in the room.

  • Signal and log coverage assessment
  • Tuned alert set with documented rationale
  • Escalation and response routing
  • Detection coverage test results

When this work helps

You may be facing this.

  • Alerts are noisy and largely ignored
  • Cloud and identity activity is not monitored
  • No one has verified that detections fire

How an engagement runs

Discover, assess, design, deliver.

  1. 01

    Discover

Understand what matters most, the obligations in play, and what the organisation is genuinely trying to protect. We agree scope and rules of engagement in writing here, so testing is bounded and authorised before it begins.

  2. 02

    Assess

Test and review the systems in scope, and establish real exposure rather than theoretical risk. We gather evidence for every finding, so severity reflects what we demonstrated rather than what is merely conceivable.

  3. 03

    Design

Prioritise remediation, control improvements, and architecture changes against risk and effort. We sequence the work so the exposures that matter most are closed first, within what the team can realistically do.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Support remediation, retest what was fixed, and help the practice hold as the environment changes. We confirm fixes actually closed the issue, rather than taking remediation on trust.

Where we work

Delhi, India — and wherever the work is.

Fidova delivers cybersecurity consulting and technical assurance from Delhi, India, and works with clients internationally; testing and review are performed remotely against your environments, with on-site work arranged when scope requires it.

Engagements run in English, are scheduled around your time zone, and can be delivered remotely end to end, with on-site time planned where a phase genuinely benefits from being in the room.
