Risk Assessment & Compliance

We assess security risk against your actual threat exposure and map it to the obligations you carry, so that investment and evidence follow one coherent picture rather than two disconnected exercises. We establish what matters most, compare current controls with what the risk and your obligations require, and prioritise treatment by risk reduced per unit of effort. Accepted risks are recorded and owned rather than left implicit. The output is a risk register and an evidence pack that satisfy both your own decisions and external questions.

In short

Security risk assessment and compliance work identifies your real security risks and the obligations you must evidence. It brings both into a single picture, so that security investment and the evidence you owe customers, insurers and auditors are driven by the same assessment.

What we do

The work inside risk assessment & compliance.

Asset and threat analysis

We establish which assets matter most to the business and what would plausibly attack them. This anchors the assessment in real consequences rather than a generic control list. It ensures effort concentrates on what would actually hurt if it failed.

Control gap assessment

We compare your current controls with what both the risk and your obligations require. This exposes where you are over-invested in low-risk areas and under-protected in high-risk ones. The gaps are stated clearly enough to plan and budget against.

Risk treatment planning

We prioritise treatment by the risk reduction each action delivers for the effort it takes, and record any risks you choose to accept. This keeps spending proportionate rather than chasing every finding equally. Recorded acceptance makes those decisions deliberate and owned rather than forgotten.

Evidence and reporting

We produce the risk register and evidence pack that satisfy customer questionnaires, insurer requirements and audit questions. Having this ready turns a stressful security questionnaire into a straightforward response. The same material supports your own governance and board reporting.

How an engagement runs

Discover, assess, design, deliver.

  1. 01

    Discover

Understand what matters most, the obligations in play, and what the organisation is genuinely trying to protect. We agree scope and rules of engagement in writing here, so testing is bounded and authorised before it begins.

  2. 02

    Assess

Test and review the systems in scope, and establish real exposure rather than theoretical risk. We gather evidence for every finding, so severity reflects what we demonstrated rather than what is merely conceivable.

  3. 03

    Design

Prioritise remediation, control improvements, and architecture changes against risk and effort. We sequence the work so the exposures that matter most are closed first, within what the team can realistically do.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Support remediation, retest what was fixed, and help the practice hold as the environment changes. We confirm fixes actually closed the issue, rather than taking remediation on trust.
