Predictive Analytics

We build predictive models tied to a specific decision and the action it triggers, because a prediction that no process consumes changes nothing. Each model is trained on a point-in-time view that reflects only what was known when the decision would have been made, so it cannot cheat by using information from the future. We validate on later periods and establish the lift over a simple baseline early, telling you before further investment if the signal is not material. For decisions affecting customers, staff or credit we favour models whose drivers can be explained and acted on.

In short

Predictive analytics estimates likely outcomes — churn, default, demand, failure — so decisions can be taken earlier. A prediction only has value when a process is ready to act on it.

What we do

The work inside predictive analytics.

Decision and threshold design

We define the action the prediction triggers and the threshold that balances false positives against missed cases in the terms your business cares about. A score is only useful once the cost of each kind of error is weighed against the other. Setting this explicitly turns the model from a number into an operating decision.

Historic data assembly

We build a training view that reflects only what was known at the time of each decision, not what became clear afterwards. This point-in-time discipline is what prevents a model that looks excellent in testing and disappoints in use. It is painstaking work, and it is where predictive projects most often quietly go wrong.

Validation and explainability

We validate on later time periods rather than random splits, so results reflect genuine forward performance. We explain the drivers of a prediction well enough for the business to act on and challenge them. For regulated or customer-facing decisions, that explanation is a requirement rather than a nicety.

Operational integration

We deliver scores into the workflow, queue or system where the action is actually taken, not into a report nobody opens. Integration at the point of decision is what converts a prediction into an earlier, better outcome. Without it even an accurate model changes nothing.

What you receive

Deliverables, in writing.

Documented output your teams keep and can act on without us in the room.

  • Decision definition with threshold and expected trade-offs
  • Training dataset with point-in-time correctness
  • Validation report with driver explanations
  • Scores delivered into the operational workflow

When this work helps

You may be facing this.

  • Problems are handled reactively when earlier warning existed in the data
  • Analytics produces dashboards but not decisions
  • Forecasts are built by hand each cycle

How an engagement runs

Discover, assess, design, deliver.

  1. 01

    Discover

Understand the workflow, the data available, the constraints, and what a good outcome would look like. We establish the problem precisely enough to judge whether AI is even the right instrument for it.

  2. 02

    Assess

Review data protection, security, oversight, and feasibility for the specific use cases on the table. We report which cases are worth building, which are better solved another way, and what would have to be true to proceed safely.

  3. 03

    Design

Set out the approach, controls, governance, and evaluation measures before build begins. Deciding data boundaries, oversight, and how success will be measured up front keeps them from becoming retrofits.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Support implementation and evaluate performance, error modes, and control effectiveness in use. We measure the system against the criteria agreed at design, and report honestly where it falls short.

Where we work

Delhi, India — and wherever the work is.

Fidova advises on AI adoption and AI governance from Delhi, India, and works with organisations internationally, including teams that must satisfy overlapping regimes such as India's data protection law, the EU AI Act, and GDPR.

Engagements run in English, are scheduled around your time zone, and can be delivered remotely end to end, with on-site time planned where a phase genuinely benefits from being in the room.
