PCI DSS Compliance

The cost of PCI DSS is driven by how much of your environment touches card data, so the work begins by shrinking that footprint. We map where card data enters, moves and rests, and look to remove it from your systems through hosted payment pages, tokenisation and provider-side capture. We then determine your merchant or service provider level, close the gaps that remain across segmentation, access, logging and testing, and assemble the evidence for assessment or self-assessment. We prepare you and support the process, but we are not a Qualified Security Assessor and do not perform the formal assessment.

In short

PCI DSS compliance work establishes cardholder data scope and the controls needed to meet the standard at your level. The cheapest and safest path is almost always to reduce scope first, so that fewer systems fall within the standard at all.

What we do

The work inside pci dss compliance.

Data flow and scope

We map where card data enters, moves and rests across people, process and technology, then work to reduce that footprint. Every system in scope carries its own control and evidence burden, so removing card data from a system removes that burden entirely. Scope reduction lowers both cost and risk far more reliably than any control project that leaves the data in place.

Level and requirement determination

We establish your merchant or service provider level from transaction volume and channel, which sets the applicable requirements and the validation route. Getting this right prevents both under-compliance and the waste of validating to a stricter level than required. It also makes clear whether a self-assessment questionnaire suffices or a QSA assessment is needed.

Control remediation

We close the gaps that remain across segmentation, access control, logging, testing and vendor management. Segmentation in particular is often assumed rather than validated, and an untested boundary can silently pull the whole network back into scope. We prioritise the gaps that most affect scope and risk rather than tackling the checklist in order.

Assessment support

We prepare the evidence and support the SAQ or QSA assessment process. For self-assessment we make sure the questionnaire answers are backed by real evidence rather than optimistic ticks. For a QSA assessment we organise the evidence and help manage the engagement so it runs to time.

What you receive

Deliverables, in writing.

Documented output your teams keep and can act on without us in the room.

  • Cardholder data flow diagrams and scope statement
  • Level determination and requirement set
  • Gap remediation plan with priorities
  • Evidence pack for assessment or self-assessment

When this work helps

You may be facing this.

  • An acquirer is requesting compliance evidence
  • Card data is stored where it does not need to be
  • Segmentation is assumed but never validated

How an engagement runs

Discover, assess, design, deliver.

  1. 01

    Discover

Establish the obligations, decision rights, and risks that genuinely matter to this organisation. We separate the requirements that truly apply from those assumed to, so effort is not spent governing risks you do not carry.

  2. 02

    Assess

Review existing controls, policy, evidence, and how the work is actually performed. We compare the control on paper with the control in practice, because the gap between the two is usually where the real risk sits.

  3. 03

    Design

Design a proportionate control set with named ownership, evidence, and review cadence. Every control has an owner who can operate it and a defined source of evidence, so nothing depends on memory or heroics.

  4. 04

    Deliver

Embed the changes with the teams doing the work, and test that the controls operate. We hand over controls the process owners can run themselves, rather than a framework only we understand.

Where we work

Delhi, India — and wherever the work is.

Fidova provides governance, risk and compliance consulting from Delhi, India, and works with organisations operating in several jurisdictions at once, mapping obligations across regions to one coherent control set.

Engagements run in English, are scheduled around your time zone, and can be delivered remotely end to end, with on-site time planned where a phase genuinely benefits from being in the room.
